Care for your candles

Candles are the perfect addition to create a warm and inviting atmosphere in any room. Made from high-quality soy wax,  or NZ Beeswax, they  burn cleanly and evenly, ensuring a long-lasting experience and a gentle flickering glow, adding a touch of elegance to any space. Unwind after a long day and let the subtle glow transport you to a place of tranquility and calm. Whether you're enjoying a quiet evening at home or hosting a gathering with loved ones, candles will enhance the ambiance.

If the candle you have purchased is in a container (tin or glass) it will last best if you burn it for long enough that the wax melts almost to the edge of the container (approx 2-4 hours depending on the size of the container) this prevents the candle from tunneling and it not burning at it's optimum.

After the first time burning your candle you can trim the wick a little prior to your next use to keep it burning clean. You can do this each time you  use the candle.

Position your candle on a flat/heat resistant surface away from children and pets (especially those with waggly tails)

​

Stop using your candle when there is about 1cm of wax left, tempting as it may be to eeek more deliciousness from your candle, there is a risk that the candle will run dry and the flame will burn glass, which could cause it to crack, or burn the surface it is sitting on if not a container candle

​

Natural scent diminishes over time, which is why we always produce our candles in small batches to sell quickly and then encourage you to use them within 6 months. To enhance this length of time, store your candles in a dark, cool, dry place. But overall if you love candles as much as we do use them up so you have more opportunity to try a new one. 

​

For maximum fragrance or scent throw, (if applicable, not all of our candles are fragranced) keep doors and windows closed.

Never leave a candle unattended

When your candle has finished, allow the wax to cool slightly, even pop in the fridge for 30 minutes and it should easily pop out of the jar or tin.

​

The glass jars we select have already had at least 1 life, once your candle has finished,  think of all the amazing ways you can recycle your jar or tin again. 

​

At some stage we do hope  to offer the option of purchasing a refill for the jar or tin with wax and fragrance if you wish. This gives yet another life to the containers. Stay tuned for when this option will be in place. 

​

Any flowers  or herbs sprinkled  onto the candles come direct from our own garden and are spray free. 

​

We make our own Rosemary and Sage oils by steeping the herbs in sunflower oil for months, strain and use these  to scent  our beeswax jar candles. The herbs are direct from our own garden and are spray free. 

​

Some candles are infused with Qi Life Force, these unique candles are listed as such and will ebb a beautiful extra boost of energy for you and your room.

Rose Petals - top notes - green leaves, lemon, spice  middle notes - rose, violet  base honey, sandalwood​
